Yoga Your Life is an easy way for modern yogis to use the ancient wisdom of the 8 limbs to develop a meaningful practice to bring peace to life off the mat.
Anyone who answers "yes" to one of the following questions: 1. Do you want to enjoy peace when you are off your mat? 2. Do you want to experience yoga, beyond the physical? 3. Do you want to create a simple daily practice you can do at home? Mostly women, ages 30-60. My perspective is one of many on the topic but from a modern, female, mother aspect.
Book cover type
It will be a 6" x 9" book. The overall design should be simple, bright and bold. My daughter painted a large canvas (pic below). It's still one of my favorites. I want to use the colors of the painting (yellow, orange, blue) as repeating horizontal stripes. I envision these stripes as medium to wide in size, as brushstrokes or marker strokes. These stripes wrap around the entire book, front, spine and back cover. These horizontal stripes provide the backdrop to the title on the front cover. "Yoga Your Life" is bold and white in the shape of a square: Yoga Your Life There could be a white border or square frame around the title words, not sure... Subtitle below the title words, not sure where to put the testimonial... The back cover will have a large white rectangle with writing, pic, bio and testimonials on it. The writing on the back cover will probably be black?
What to avoid
Dark or somber colors, nothing flowery or flowing, script-y fonts
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
renecedel collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
When her design came in, I knew it was the one. Lily used the brief as inspiration and surprised me with her artistic interpretation. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her. It was easy to communicate and share ideas, we were able to work through revisions with ease. Once I finish my next book, I will reach out to her again for cover design.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
