TarynVoget got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Create a powerful book cover for "Trust Fall"
Check out TarynVoget's Book cover contest…
The title for this book is: Trust Fall The subtitle is: A story about learning to trust life, love ourselves & redefine success This book is a memoir and story about selling everything I owned to go traveling for 2.5 years. In it I share the wisdom I acquired along the way.
What's your vision?
I need the front and back cover of the book designed. The book size is 5x8. The spine will be approximately .28" I have a sketched out concept for the elements I want on the front cover, but I need a great designer to take this idea and make it gorgeous. I am also open to new ideas! I want the idea of a woman silhouette falling and there being a glowing, invisible female hand there to catch her. I want it to look like the hand of God (so to speak) there ready to catch her. I like the idea of the F in Fall being a little tilted. This is the concept I like, BUT I AM TOTALLY OPEN to other ideas if you have them. I have attached a sketch of the cover idea, document for the back cover copy, photo to include on the back, and bar code. (note the bar code space needs to be on the lower right corner, and 2" x 1.2" in size) This book will be printed through CreateSpace, most likely with a Soft Touch Matte finish. If you want bleed space and document layout requirements, visit: https://www.createspace.com/Products/Book/CoverPDF.jsp
I want this book cover to appeal to men and women. It should be soft and simple, but high impact. I am open on the colors. I have attached my company logo. I am NOT tied to using it anywhere on the book cover. If it went anywhere, maybe the spine? I don't know if it will fit. We could use the graphic and not the words possibly. I am open on this.
