This book is a mix of science fiction, action, and adventure. I am attaching the the plot and key descriptions of characters, settings, and important things... When Freedom Fighter Aidan Alastair was sixteen, civil war broke loose. A year later, he is now a prisoner of war, held by the corrupt Techno-Federation that controls the undergrounds of the planet. Though he much prefers the undergrounds compared to the hellish surface above. It has been six months since the War for Below came to a sudden halt. Crawlers have destroyed the world, claiming the surface as their own. Their invasion of the planet led to chaos for both sides. Freedom Fighters desperate to get refugees in underground bunkers, Techno-Federation officials greedy in saving advanced weaponry over their own citizens. Aidan is one of the lucky ones. He gets to spend the rest of his life in a labor prison, building weapons for the corrupted Techno-Federation. Anything to be away from the surface. Though his luck has run dry. The Techno-Federation is out of resources, troops, and time. They are losing The Crawler War. Crawlers are on the verge of world domination, and the Techno-Federation knows that their tyrant rule is coming to an end. Aidan is dragged from his prison cell to be told he must return to the surface. Not for banishment, not for punishment, but as the last hope to exterminate the crawlers from the planet. Crawlers are planning an attack on the last known medical facility run by the Techno-Federation. This facility is constructing a bio weapon that can exterminate the crawlers. Aidan must race across the surface to warn them about the attack and extract the weapon. He then must rush to Outpost 512 where the disseminator is and deploy it. In a race against time, Aidan must face his inner demons created from the civil war before the invasion and find a way to face the perils of the surface alone... or so he thought. Main Character: Aidan Alastair--> Scrawny, russet brown hair trickling down to his eyebrows. He has hazel eyes and a tan skin complexion. And "The gear I wear is simple: black pants, a black shirt, and grey armor for my chest and shoulders. The armor already has bullet holes in it from previous battles and the shoes are a little snug, but I don’t complain. I make sure to tie my laces in a double knot and pull the curtain back." He carries an old machete on his belt loop, and a futuristic machine gun. Crawlers (Alien Species): "devilish creatures, with camouflaged bodies, swift and elusive on their six long limbs" and "razor-sharp teeth and piercing claws" and "well over six feet" and "tough carapace" and "evil yellow eyes" and "Their long, dark green and brown, slimy bodies stretch across the halls, their weapons resting in their front two arms. Their lizard-like snouts take in a deep lungful of air. The taps of their hind claws on the floor, ring through the hall." And, they have six limbs but when fighting have stand up on their back two legs. Their weapons are... "Their metal rifles have sleek orange lights running along the sides. It is some sort of internal energy system that charges their rifles. It causes their lasers to be a matching orange hue. Their weapons sizzle when fired.... They look like devils without tails. They wear no clothes, except a utility belt with diverse gadgets and rifles." Mothership: "the massive ship shoots up into the atmosphere. The diamond-shaped ship covers the sky. The vessel is silver with tons of hangar doors and loose wires hanging off of it. The ship zooms off, the wind from the impact crashing me into a shelf. " Important Settings: City Center: Basically the capital. Think futuristic style city that has begun to crumble to the ground from the war and invasion. Underground Bunkers: Where the Techno-Federation is living... "The elevator slows to a halt, honking. The silver doors screech open, revealing a massive bunker. There are more people together in one space than I’ve seen since the invasion started. The space is surrounded by thick metal walls that keep us safe from the crawlers on the surface. So, this is where they all went. At least the ones who could escape to the security and comfort of the bunkers. Half of them prisoners, half random survivors who claim to support the Techno-Federation. Sleek fighter jets and sturdy tanks are being assembled in dozens of rows by other prisoners from the War for Below. My once fellow soldiers, who fought with courage, are now slaves at the hands of the Techno-Federation..." The Compound: Freedom Fighter Compound, it is an old factory The Outpost: A military tactical base to deploy a bio weapon. Surface of the destroyed planet: where the crawlers have taken over, and where the refugees who are still alive live. Extreme weather, fires, intense storms...
