GreenHopeX got their new book cover by running a design contest:
We need a herbal mother earth-y, inviting and BOLD herbal book cover
Check out GreenHopeX's Book cover contest…
The Art of Herbal Healing
This book teaches the art of herbal healing for beginners. It starts with the ancient history of how herbs were the only medicine before conventional medicine and are still relevant today. It explains different plants/herbs and what benefits they have and how they can be harvested and prepared for usage. The book is written in a story-like fashion with scientific details tied into the content. The book has a warm, motherly loving, and flirty tone.
30-60 years old (Mostly middle-aged) Women who are most likely into gardening, natural lifestyle and are married. USA, Europe, and other English speaking countries
1. The cover needs to convey mother earth/nature, warning yet comfort, and inviting colors (Green is standard but also purple may be to strike the eye). 2. Use your creativeness and make the cover in a way that describes the title in an intuitive way. (look at my design inspiration to understand what I mean by intuitive) 3. The title Should be easily read from AMZ kindle thumbnail. The "art" can be whimsical 4. Avoid just slapping some text on top of a stock photo 5. The design needs to fit the niche and also STAND out. Take a look at the covers in the niche: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=herbal+book&crid=264XOVHRENUPW&sprefix=herbal+book%2Caps%2C750&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_11 6. Before submitting, think to yourself: Would you be proud to show this bestseller off on your bookshelf?
What to avoid
1. Avoid just slapping some text on top of a stock photo! Use your beautiful creative mind to make it that much more special. I definitely an illustrated cover. 2. I do NOT want it to remind the reader of anything witchy or resemble something like dark magic since many of the readers can be religiously turned off by anything like that.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at €269.
