My name is Jordan Salzano, and I am from Long Island, NY. I am 18 years old and have just started my college career at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. For years, I have been into motivation, as I aspire to become a professional motivational speaker. Ever since I was just a kid I would listen to motivational podcasts and live/recorded speeches while I would workout, get ready for an athletic event, etc. Or even prepare for a vital exam in school. Basically anything that will require the best of my ability. Putting others before self is a priority of mine. It's just a part of me to want to aid other's needs before my own. No matter if it's helping one walk across the street or giving up my free time to help someone in whatever it is that is appropriate at the time., etc. No matter how small or how large the project may be, I am willing to put myself out there for the sake of others. Motivational speaking is a great way to express this quality of mine, and as much as it is great to want to help others, it is also self-rewarding. I feel as if I am teaching/helping myself out when I am associated with motivation, even if I speaking to other people. One has to believe in what they're preaching in order to get someone else to believe in the topic. Motivation is a part of my life, and I strongly believe that it is vital for it to be a part of someone else's life as well. Without motivation, it's hard enough to even get through a single day. We have probably all been at this point sometime in our lives, and it is not a good feeling whatsoever. Motivation is what gives us the life we want to live, not to live just because we were born.

This book is about the Hunger for Improvement, or HFI. It really falls under the "inspiration" category. It's about the will and drive to improve at something(s) and how important it is to do so. It's about the everlasting will to improve at life overall. I developed the Hunger for Improvement years ago because I got the short end of the stick in almost everything I did/do on a daily basis. I have an excellent resume on this topic, and I want to share my real life experiences with others and give tools on how to deal and overcome. Same ways I did and still do.

My targeted readers are kids in school who have been counted out socially or on the field or just in life in general and for those who work so hard to the point of nauseum and don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Those, mostly kids and adolescents, who feel hopeless with something in their life.
