What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We haven't really had a logo, per se, for our Auntie C's product, but we have had a product label that has had a woman on it. The product is a copper thread lube that driller brush onto the threads of the pipe before threading it into a matching pipe connection. Since the pipe is under immense torque pressure, the copper thread lube keeps the connection from seizing up and becoming impossible to unthread. Hence, the widely-known name of the generic product is "anti-seize" lube. Our Product is a play on that, "Auntie C's thread lube". Our old design is really not in line with what we want - it's a photo rather than a mascot design. What we are looking for is something akin to what you might find on the side of a WWII airplane. We need to be careful though - she can be sexy, but not immodest (so certainly no nudity). We like Rosie the Riveter type of feel. She's tough, hard working and gets the job done. Another dynamic is that we have an overall company mascot "FRED". His character type is more of a construction superhero. It would be great if this Auntie C's were also in the same universe as FRED. So if Melfred Borzall were the X-Men universe, then FRED would be professor Xavier, and Auntie C would be Storm. We are developing a the rest of our product lines to include these mascots as well.
