Melvina Masterminds is an organization empowering students in the arts. In September 2019, they partnered with entertainer Hannibal Buress to host a charity comedy show at the famed Chicago Theatre.
The process behind this design was a fun exploration in photo editing where I merged photography with colorful overlays and layers of vintage textures. By adding in handwritten bits, I’m able to break up the text and establish a visual hierarchy that highlights important details, like appearances by Lil Rel Howery and Vic Mensa, more clearly.")

Good news: A rookie detective named Clint Barnum has just been assigned his first real case. Bad news: He’s narcoleptic and managed to fall asleep just before he is completely briefed on all the details.
This black comedy from author Adam Maxwell has all the makings of an instant classic and with a story this charming, he needed cover art to match. I created a custom wrap-around digital illustration that captures the book’s mesmeric climax as his detective realizes the cat he’s been hunting inside an abandoned department store is actually a 500-pound tiger!
By giving many elements in the illustration a similar muted tone, I was able to include intricate detail work on the building’s exterior and layer subtle scenes inside multiple window frames without taking away from this important encounter. The detective’s dimming flashlight and the tiger’s menacing silhouette pop below the book’s freehand-style title.")

Fresh Beef with Dave & Jeremy is a monthly podcast wherein the guys discuss the culture of negative internet commenting and attempt to squash the beef for the commenters themselves.
Each episode they focus on two comments from sites like Yelp, Amazon, IGN, and YouTube and contact the author in an attempt to right the purported wrong. In addition to these stories, the guys hit the streets and anonymously speak to the general public about their internet behavior history.")
