Sterling9193 got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Mascot Design for Hognob.com (Must be Original)

We provide communication software services for homeowner associations. Our clients are primarily the property management companies that manage HOAs. Our web application creates a social environment for homeowners that reaches out to them through Facebook, email, mobile app, and mailbox. The concept is similar to nextdoor.com except that the HOA will have control over the application so that they have a good avenue to communicate to homeowners.
What's your vision?
We need you to design our mascot, Arthur the hog. (Our company name, hognob, is a play on the word "hobnob", which means to socialize familiarly.) Please see the attachment for a screenshot of what our website is probably going to look like (it's still in draft mode). We have some work to do on the colors so feel free to use those that we have on the website or play with your own. After everything is put together we will be more firm on colors. This means that you must include a vector image that we can edit afterwards. As examples: We love the MailChimp mascot: http://media.smashingmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/mailchimp1.png And the silverbackapp mascot: http://silverbackapp.com/ Our brand voice will be helpful here: -Powerful but never dishonest -Simple but smart -Active but not intrusive -Reliable but fun -Friendly but not cuddly -Funny but not crass -Loyal but innovative Our mascot needs to exemplify most if not all of these things. We had a previous design for our mascot that missed on several of these attributes: http://cl.ly/image/1X3X3S0R3x16 I'm posting some links to photos of hogs so that everyone knows what kind of animal we're talking about here: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Not-Lisa-Simmons-courtesy-clarkmcminn.com_.jpg http://fellowshipofminds.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/fat-pig1.jpg http://www.portlandmercury.com/binary/b27d/1280954668-article-0-0001e53000000578-164_468x330.jpg I don't necessarily want them to look exactly like any of these images. These are just to give you an idea of what animal we're talking about. The males usually have tusks. Yours may or may not have tusks.
Maybe our hog is a maintenance guy. Maybe he's carrying a wrench or a screwdriver and got a little dirt on him. He's gotta look powerful and active, yet smart and friendly. FYI: I'm not crazy about our logo (cursive "Hognob") while you don't need to create a new logo for this contest you also don't need to feel restricted by our logo design.
