Tagline: Emmanuel College Former Students Association Desired Color Scheme: Any, but try blues first. Accepted File Formats: .ai, .psd FACES is a rearranged acronym of Emmanuel College Former Students Association. Emmanuel College is a relatively new school starting in 1984, with the FACES Alumni group forming in the past couple of years. The group has a logo but is on the hunt for a new & better one. The school is Christian based, but FACES isn't looking for overly religious symbology in the logo. The Faces URL is www.faces.org.au you may choose to incorporate this into your design, but it is not a requirement. There are a lot of obvious paths to take with this logo, and we look forward to your original ideas. 1) LOGO REQUIREMENTS All logos must work as 1 colour flat logos first. ie black on white. If it doesn't look good there, no amount of pimping will save it. (You don't have to submit b&w logos, just know as you're designing, that I'm looking very critically at how the logo will work in anything from newsprint to Web, DVD & beyond) 2) COLOUR Colour is up for grabs at this stage, give me some options. 3) LOGO VS WORD I'm wanting the word faces with a logo. FACES may be written upper or lower case, or combination. ie FACES, faces, Faces. 4) LOGO CONCEPT The logo is up to you. 5) LOGO, WORD PLACEMENT & TAG LINE The full logo wording will need to work in a long horizontal format, ie the banner across the top of a site. This would usually mean logo+word or word+logo side by side format, but I also like the logo on top of word etc for alternative placements. The tag line isn't a requirement, so don't force it in if it's not working. 6) PIMPING - WEB 2.0 etc Once you have something that kicks butt in 1 colour flat, 2-4 colour flat, then you might want to play with it some. 7) FILE FORMATS. Vector Black & Colour versions - ai or eps. PSD Coloured verions - Layered with no flattening if possible. 8) COMP ENDING. While I am running this comp. I will be doing so in consultation with other board members of FACES, so my feedback times may not be as quick as the last comp. I did. 9) PICKING A WINNER. The Faces board reserves the right to close the competition without picking a winner if no suitable 'winning' logo is presented, before the ending time. HAVE AT IT.
