summitfarmery got their new logo design by running a design contest:
We need a fresh logo for our new flower farm!
Check out summitfarmery's Logo design contest…
We're launching a new farm and we're looking for a logo! We're currently growing flowers (specializing in dahlias) and planning to market to customers directly (e.g., farmer's markets) and to larger vendors (e.g., wedding venues). Why "Summit"? We're based in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California. The natural landscape here is rugged and beautiful, and we also have a pretty epic view of the ocean. Why "Farmery"? This is a new business and while we're currently focused on growing flowers, we plan to venture into other areas, like making popsicles and ice cream with edible flowers. So we're looking to build a brand with room to grow. We're looking for a logo that's simple, fresh, and unique (not a typical florist or farm logo design). Please keep in mind that we will be using our logo for business cards, stickers, stamps, etc., so we need a logo that is just as clear when it's small as it is when it's large.
Other color requirements
We're open to different colors but we're looking for a logo with 1-2 colors.
"Summit Farmery" is our business name so please treat it as such instead of making "Farmery" a tagline :) We're also interested in seeing logo submissions that are mostly focused on the company name itself. We will try to provide feedback and direct comments as soon as we can! Thank you so much for helping our vision come to life!!

And then… they selected a winner!
Helma is a great designer. We ran a contest for a package design, although many samples were submitted, two really stood out. Out of those two, one designer made it very clear to have incorporated our instructions/vision; that was Helma. Rarely, with so many samples, so early in the contest, do you already know who the winner is going to be. Helma is that kind of designer.
If Helma bids on your project, don’t hesitate, You’ll be more than pleased with the end result.
Thank you Helma!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
