terrellm got their new logo design by running a design contest:
$300 Guaranteed Winner - $100 2nd prize - Logo needed of a long.horn
Check out terrellm's Logo design contest…
Our software program needs a revised logo for our new version. We want to stay with the same concept, but encourage creativity. The biggest requirement is that the logo has a personality, as it is a mascot. UPDATE: There is also a $100 second prize.
Long.horn.Max (ignore the .'s)
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: See details Desired Style: Web 2.0ish. Colorful and with a personality. This c.o.w. is our mascot, not just a picture. Accepted File Formats: Vector - Illustrator or Corel Draw You can see 2 versions of our logo at http://www.blueheelers.net/temp/logos.jpg . You will notice the right (newer logo) has more personality and doesn't look as harsh as the left logo. We want to continue in that direction of warmth and incorporate realistic features. The horns are important. A photograph we would like to have incorporated (color, markings, horns) would be http://www.blueheelers.net/temp/dude.jpg. Logo styles we like are the FireFox and Thunderbird logos as well as Expedia.com. Also, we do have another program that will need a revised logo with this same style. I would like to have the winner of the contest design that logo at a future point. We can discuss the details if interested. It would be a separate paid project. P.S. I have held several successful contests and will make feedback comments throughout the day each day. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks! UPDATE: There is also a $100 second prize.
