Swisk got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo design for a new search engine: Swisk
Check out Swisk's Logo design contest…
Search engine logo will be the main image on the first page and needs to be simple, creative and most importantly -- memorable.
What's your vision?
The search engine I am currently having developed is a new concept... I can't elaborate on it too much, but is similar to goodsearch.com and everyclick.com. (Except it blows both out of the water... goodsearch's logo is about as bad as it gets.) I paid a friend who (in school for graphic design) to design a logo, and it turned out decent. I was told by a few people it looked kind of amateurish, so that is why I need your help! Here is a mock version of the site's future layout for an idea of where the logo will be placed... (in the center of the page). http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/1725/homewc1.jpg No tagline is necessary, nor is there a specific color scheme. Please submit a jpeg, but if i choose your design, I would like the file in a psd/corel or any other editable type. Thanks!
