With this design, I wanted the client to have a website that Kids could use and explore. I beta tested my design with kids through the design stages. I asked why they visited certain websites and what captured their imagination.
I then used all those tools to create my design. The client had existing flash data that they wanted to still use on their new website, so I adapted elements around this. I also thought about colour blind children, so used colours that did not make them exempt from the experience.
Overall I wanted the website to stay current and have all the interactivity that kids need. I also wanted continuity across the website. I wanted to use fonts that reflected the prehistoric age where possible.
As I have worked for Hanna Barbera on past projects in my design studio. I really enjoyed this project, which allowed my creativity to flow without constraints.
