This client was looking for a logo that embodied the uplifting, inspiring, and revolutionary spirit of their medicinal herb brand. They also wanted it to be approachable since they were introducing a somewhat "out there" concept to their small conservative town. I tried to achieve this through a playful design that might appeal to a nature-lover or someone interested in wholesome living, while staying true to the brand with subtle scientific details. My color palette started as bright blues and greens, but after a request from the client I went with more subdued green tones, which I think turned out much better. The client requested that somehow the alchemy of lead-to-gold be represented, so I replaced the "H" with the symbol for lead and added a dot to the center of the "C" to suggest the symbol for gold. In the end the client decided to go with another design but let me know that this one was their second choice.
