rushy got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Creative Ecommerce Homepage Needed!
Check out rushy's Web page design contest…
We need a template for an ecommerce site. Our cart software can be integrated into almost any design so feel free to aim for creativity as the highest regard. We mainly want an attractive, action delivering homepage that we can then link into specific sections of our cart software. The design must be unique, original and match the brand image instilled by our logo which can be found here: www.whiteknightprojects.com/mm/logo.gif
Marshy's Motorcycles Ltd
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: See the logo and work from there. Desired Style: See description above. Accepted File Formats: layered .psd (named layers if poss) We need the homepage for an ecommerce design based on the company logo which you see here at: www.whiteknightprojects.com/mm/logo.gif The design needs to create a brand for marshy's motorcycles so a consistent colour scheme to match the logo style is a neccessity. We are looking for a clean, professional style. We have looked online for sites and styles that we like and we have found two styles that we like most. I say styles here, this is not the same as colours...it just means the general layout and appearance. Feel free to use your own colour scheme to match the marshy's logo above. We like the header and footer section of www.apachequads.com . The design is clean and has a consistency of brand about it that we like. The simple rollovers are also a nice touch. We would like to emulate (not copy!!) the clean header style. In our site we would like to have the following options/buttons in one of the navbars (if we use two like apache did - not neccessarily in the same place): Off Road Quads ATVs Buggies Scooters Motorcycles Accessories Insurance And then in the second header navbar, we put the usual: About Marshy's Contact Marshy's Search box I also like the large image in the header of apachequads.com and would want one of those too which I will use to rotate promotion offers perhaps via flash. Again the header should be very clean, match the style of the logo and flow nicley onto the content. For the content section of the homepage, I like the way http://www.staffordshirequadbikes.co.uk promote different aspects in different boxes. I think staffordshire's page may be a little 'busy' with too much going on but I do like the way they have 'boxes' that blend nicely with the design in different sizes to promote various aspects of their service and I would like to emulate this in our site. The boxes I will need are: Read our past customer reviews Subscribe to our newsletter to get biking tips regularly Special offer box/competition box A picture perhaps of our showroom (use an image placeholder for this) I would like to have some introductory text in there too 'Welcome to Marshy's, the North East's leading distributor of quads, atvs, buggies, motorcycles and scooters' or something like that. So try and mix the cleanlinness (text) of apachequads.com and the action-orientated front page of staffordshirequadbikes. The footer will include the usual sitemap, terms and conditions, privacy, quality, contact us and copyright information and should emulate (not copy!) the clean style of apachequads.com but obviously fit into the marshy's brand and page flow. Bare in mind also that when a user clicks a product etc, the content section of the page will reflect this and your design must allow for this to work without losing the design flow.
