Dina was excellent! Very responsive and added her own personal style to the design! Great Job!
Slaviana did a terrific job with this project. As usual, she was extremely responsive and created a high quality deliverable.
How Vicki318 started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target market is pregnant and new mums currently only around 10% of parents use cloth nappies and we are looking to increase this marketshare substantially as an industry.
My business is work from home and I employ other mums that work from home, we all have young families and believe in our products.
Our customers are generally aged between 28-40 wanting quality products and an average market price (not cheap china crap but not designer embroidered home made either) somewhat eco conscious and always want what's best for their child, the money saving aspect of cloth nappies is about midway down the list of reasons they want to use cloth.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
I'm not a fan of 'out of the box I just changed the colours' type website I'm looking for something unique and that 'wow' factor, it's what my current site has but I do get the odd comment from mums of boys that it's very girly *groan*
I do love the flowers, birds, owls I guess. I am after something that isn't going to date terribly, my current site design is around 4yrs old and still looks really fresh.
I like white space and clean lines, I would like our site to reflect a professional business not a small work from home business
We are using magento as our shopping cart
Front page to be engaging, slider box, facebook feed, email signup form, footer map, cart button, maybe some featured products or some on sale. I want something that screams full branding I want it all to work well together and then also flow well into our brochures, advertising, stationery etc
Category and Product pages and info pages are to have the same flow. I want the font sizes, colours, themes and styles to be specified in the design (as an eg see the ittibitti website)
What to avoid
not boxy theme, I don't mind boxes/sectioning but I just don't want everything in a box with a border around it
The colours of our logo are not set in stone they can be changed to suit the design. The key to this project is to have fun, be creative and think outside the box. This should be one of those wow sites that you want to put as the first pic in your portfolio :)
