The Tiny Hands Foundation was founded in 2001 by Sarasota businessman Rod Khleif. Our foundation's core mission is
simple, to improve the quality of impoverished children’s lives within our area. We believe in fostering an exchange of generosity and gratitude between the fortunate in our community and those who are in need.
We are a small all volunteer non-profit, we have no employees, pay no rent, and our administrative costs are minimal.
Our foundation leads several annual community children’s charitable initiatives that have benefited more than 50,000 community children and families in need.
The Tiny Hands Foundation’s Annual Charitable Initiatives include:
The Back-to-School Backpack Brigade: Provides thousands of new backpacks filled with school supplies to community school children in need.
The Teddy Bear Brigade: Provides thousands of teddy bears for community police department patrol cars to be given out by police officers to comfort children in distress.
The Holiday Basket Brigade: Provides thousands of holiday gift baskets filled with food and Christmas toys to community children and families in need.
Our target audience is corporate sponsors, individual donors, and corporate and individual volunteers. Community adults and children. Each of our Brigades attract 500+ community volunteers, about half of our volunteers are children.
