De’Vannon got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Taboo website design for the Sex, Drugs, and Jesus Podcast

Entertainment & The Arts
We host a podcast and blog for Sex, Drugs, and Jesus. The host is De'Vannon Hubert. It aims to explore taboo topics such as religion, drugs, crime, etc.
Dark, secretive, smoky, as if you're not supposed to be there. Behind closed doors. The content is generally for an adult audience, although it is not pornographic, merely educational.

On the page, we would like a few graphics and some text, some of which will be provided. And also a way to advertise the newest episode and how to subscribe/listen. Page 2: About/Resources page Mostly text and photo of our host, De'Vannon. It should have contact information as well and social media links. We also want a list of resources (provided). In general, this page should be short. Page 3: Podcast main page A hub listing all the episodes, subscription links, and the icons to platforms where people can listen to the show. These should be simple and easy to navigate. The newest episode with a short description should be shown at the top, the older episodes should be a brief list after with no full descriptions. Having a playback function would be cool so the page functions as a playlist to listen to the episodes from newest to oldest. Page 4: Video main page Similar to the podcast page, but with imbedded Vimeo videos and a playback option. Each video should have a short description. We do not have the video content ready yet.
What to avoid
Not too long per page, we want shorter pages. Not too crowded.
We would like a green, white, and black color scheme. Green animated smoke would be very cool. For a font, we'd like something that looks like an official FBI briefing or report, so either a typewriter font or something very modern. The feeling should be related to secret files. The theme of sex, drugs, and alcohol should be present. (Such as in the logo.) Rather than photos, we would prefer drawings for images.

This is an awesome designer who listened to feedback and was always quick to reply. I was happy with the designs from the start but was most impressed with their ability to continue to make changes on a timely basis. Very friendly, would recommend!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
