Description
Design our new upcoming Synthesizer Desktop Module
The goal for this contest is to present us (and hopefully the rest of the world later) a design that simply is stunning by its looks (before hearing any sound).
To achieve this you are free to re-imagine our functional mockup by using any color, material, shape, stylized element(s) for the case, buttons and knobs to ultimately give the module a unique identity and instantly recognizable character.
Please see attached images for our current functional design mockup.
The 7inch screen (170 x 100 mm) is the only given. Further all knobs + switches of the mockup need to appear somewhere on the unit in any shape or form, but not inside or on the touch screen. "Master" and "Menu" are buttons. All 4 knobs are endless encoders. 6 buttons on the left have LEDs next to them to indicate activity. What material, color, surface, shape the knobs/switches have and how to arrange/distribute them on your design is ultimately up to you. They need to either have labels next to them or on them or any other way to clearly identify them. We advise though that it may be good to keep certain elements grouped together logically and also think of that they need to be either available or producable in some way (just to give a stark example it wouldnt be great idea (not even talking about illegal) to use real ivory). Yet you may decide to move anything around and place differently, even the screen, as long as it's convincing in sum to us.
The unit also needs to have a certain height which estimated will be about 3-4 cm, though in certain places it can be lower (minimum is 1,5cm-2 cm, as long as these areas take less than ~60% of the avaialble top space). It can of course be higher.

Other notes
Any rendered 3D or fully visualized and colored 3D sketch from various angles is fine.
We do love 80s movies, like futuristic Bladerunner or John Carpenter, so imagining some design that fits into the future for the next 20-30 years from now (like 2040/2050) would be cool, but is not a must, really anything goes :)
If you like , you can use any codename you see fit your design or use ACME or simply leave blank.
Synths = Music = Emotions = LOVE for Technology & Art :)
