Fi Pay is owned and operated by United States Marine Corps veterans. Fi is short for Fidelis, which means 'Always Faithful', a popular Marine Corps slogan that applies very well to the payments industry. We would like to incorporate our USMC heritage into the logo design, however we would like to do that very subtlety since this company is a venture backed deal and branding needs to look like a major company in the payments space. We could perhaps do this with symbology such as going with a chevron geometric design (just an example) etc.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
