Description of the organization and its target audience
CILI (Career Immersion and Leadership Institute) is a Louisiana-based organization working to reduce racial disparities and fill critical talent gaps in the corporate workforce. We connect BIPOC college students to paid internship opportunities and provide soft skill development training to support both personal and professional growth and success as students transition from academic to adult life.
We have two primary audiences: the BIPOC college students who participate in our programming and the employers who hire them.
Our organization offers three programs**:
(1) Hire Learnings (targeted lessons/workshops to assist students with their career search process, interview skills, and career readiness skills)
(2) CILI Fellowship (assistance securing a paid summer internship experience + monthly curated learning sessions and individualized preparation and support with a trained Coach throughout their fellowship)
(3) Career Bridge (transition support for students transitioning to full-time employment, including curated learning sessions, individualized preparation and support with a trained Coach, and intense training in soft skills, professional presentation, personal branding, negotiation, etc.)
**Note that while this contest is strictly focused on refreshing the logo for CILI, all three programs will eventually need their own logos, all of which should be complimentary to both the parent logo and the other program logos (i.e. these should all work together). As such, we'd love for there to be some design element (including but not limited to color palette) in the CILI parent logo that can be carried through to the other three for the sake of consistency.

Other notes
We have uploaded our current logo. We know that we:
(1) want to stick with this color palette (blue #235B82, olive #807753, and yellow #F4C42A), and
(2) want to make the CILI (or CiLi) easier to read. Right now, it's not immediately obvious that the logo is made of those four letters -- that needs to be crisper / clearer.
Beyond that, we'd like to see some nod (either with graphic element(s) or clever use of white space) to our core theme(s): upward trajectory / progress / growth; BIPOC focus (i.e. afro-centric and latinx); education; and/or economic prosperity. That can be an iteration of what is already there or a new interpretation.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
